The Seahawks were embarrassed in a 42-7 loss to the Rams on Sunday, but matters got even worse for Seattle after the game.
During media availability, Earl Thomas questioned teammate Bobby Wagner’s decision to play through a hamstring injury.
Wagner responded to the public criticism with his own public response to Thomas. He posted on Twitter, telling Thomas to “stop being jealous of other (people’s) success.”
Wagner would quickly delete the tweet, but the internet lives forever. The tweet was posted (and screen-shotted) long enough to reveal the mood inside the Seattle locker room. Wagner could have easily spoken to Thomas privately about his postgame comments. Instead, he called out a teammate on Twitter – something every team looks to avoid.
The Rams’ win gave Los Angeles a two-game lead in the NFC West.
