Fired Ohio State assistant football coach Zach Smith sent a picture of his penis from a White House bathroom among other locales and had more than $2,000 worth of erotic toys, apparel and photo equipment sent to his office at the school in 2015, according to a published report Friday night.
Stadium reported that Smith, citing photos it had obtained, sent a photo from April 20, 2015 – the same date of Ohio State’s White House visit after winning the 2014 national title – where his penis could be seen alongside a towel that had the Seal of the President of the United States.
Courtney Smith, the ex-wife of Zach Smith, also told Stadium that he “took multiple photos of his penis inside the Ohio State coaches’ offices” and he “photographed himself in the coaches’ offices receiving oral sex and having sex with a OSU staffer.”
Messages left with Smith’s attorney, Brad Koffel, by USA TODAY Sports on Friday were not immediately returned. When reached by Stadium, Koffel, said he had “no idea” about the photos or shipments of sex paraphernalia. Koffel also accused Stadium reporter Brett McMurphy of “receiving stolen property.”
“If any one of this is published or referenced, we will refer to the county prosecutor,” Koffel told McMurphy, per the story. “This is a felony.”
Smith was fired by Ohio State last month after allegations that he abused his then-wife in 2015 were made public in Courtney Smith’s protection order application. Courtney Smith said that Zach Smith had abused her on multiple occasions and the school had knowledge of the 2015 incident, which did not result in criminal charges against Zach Smith.
Zach Smith has denied ever abusing Courtney Smith. The two divorced in 2016 and share custody of their two children.
Head coach Urban Meyer was put on paid leave as the school launched an independent investigation into his handling of the domestic abuse allegations. Ohio State announced Friday that the investigation will be concluded on Sunday and findings will be passed to the school’s board of trustees next week.
Friday’s report by Stadium paints a more troubling picture of Zach Smith’s tenure with the Buckeyes, including shipments of sex toys and erotic apparel that were delivered to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center between February and May 2015.
